The journey to win the Miss World 2021 crown has now started for Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez as she arrived in Puerto Rico. She is set to compete in the pageant this December 16.

The beauty queen posted on her Instagram account earlier today with a short video documenting her “40-hour travel” to Puerto Rico. In it, followers see Tracy in a plane, at an airport in the United States, and meeting some members of the Filipino community.

In the caption, Tracy shared that it was her first time traveling to the United States and that she was doing it by herself with 10 pieces of luggage in tow. Despite encountering some “delays and struggles” along the way, she said the long journey was worth it.

Messages of support from her Instagram followers quickly showed up on the post, with celebrities chiming in as well. Former Miss World Megan Young left a comment commending Tracy for keeping up her hairstyle from when she left the Philippines and expressed her happiness that she arrived safely. Shree Saini, the current Miss World America, also welcomed her in the comments.

Tracy has had an eventful journey to winning the Miss World Philippines crown. During the pageant, there were two instances of Tracy slipping and falling on the stage.
