Followers of Tracy Maureen Perez on Instagram got a peek behind the scenes of this year's Miss World.
It may have taken a lot of hours to get there, but it looks like Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez is enjoying her first day in Puerto Rico for the 2021 Miss World competition.
In a short video she shared on her Instagram account, Tracy showed off the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico's lobby, its outdoor dining area, as well as some shots of her with fellow contestants.
While the video was peppy, Tracy's caption was much more contemplative, with the beauty queen sharing that she was not feeling her prettiest and that her makeup was not sticking because of the lack of sleep from her long journey to get to Puerto Rico.
Nevertheless, Tracy was taking it all in stride. She said, “But you know what, it will get better, we all have our highs and lows, a great reminder that we're humans, we're not meant to be perfect, and that's absolutely okay.”
Tracy also expressed her excitement at the opportunity to show “what a Filipina is made o--a heart of gold and a light as bright as the sun.”
The road to winning the Miss World Philippines crown wasn't east for Tracy, with her slipping and falling on the stage twice during the pageant. Now, she will be representing the country at the Miss World 2021 pageant to be held on December 16.
