Here are the top nominees for the 2022 Grammy Awards

The full list of nominees for the 64th Grammy Awards is out and among the artists competing for major awards are Olivia Rodrigo, H.E.R., Justin Bieber, and Billie Eilish.

Leading this year's nominees is jazz musician and bandleader at the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jon Batiste, who has a total of 11 nominations, for both his solo album We Are and his work for the soundtrack of Pixar's Soul.

Tied in second place for most nominations are Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R., who each has eight nominations.

Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are not far behind on the list with seven nominations each.

Competing for Album of the Year are Bieber's Justice, Rodrigo's Sour, Taylor Swift's Evermore, Kanye West's Donda, H.E.R.'s Back of My Mind, Eilish's Happier Than Ever, Batiste's We Are, Lil Nas X's Montero, Doja Cat's Planet Her, and Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's Love for Sale.

While the contenders for Song of the Year are Rodrigo's “Drivers License,” H.E.R.'s “Fight for You,” Eilish's “Happier Than Ever,” Doja Cat and SZA's “Kiss Me More,” Silk Sonic's “Leave the Door Open,” Lil Nas X's “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” Ed Sheeran's “Bad Habits,” Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile's “A Beautiful Noise,” Bieber, Caesar, and Giveon's “Peaches,” and Carlile's “Right on Time.”

Rodrigo and fellow artist with Filipino roots, rapper Saweetie, are both nominated for Best New Artist. They're up against The Kid Laroi, Finneas, Japanese Breakfast, Arooj Aftab, Jimmie Allen, Baby Keem, Glass Animals, and Arlo Parks.

Another notable nominee is rapper Jay-Z, who just became the most Grammy-nominated artist of all time. His three nominations this year brought the total of his nominations to 83, surpassing the 80 Grammy nominations of music icon Quincy Jones.

And speaking of total, there are now a total of 86 categories at the 2022 Grammy Awards, with two brand-new categories added, namely, Best Global Music Performance (Global Music Field) and Best Música Urbana Album (Latin Music Field),

The 64th Grammy Awards will happen on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, live from Staples Center in Los Angeles.
