Ashley Rivera considers her first TV commercial as the biggest surprise of 2021

Good things come to those who wait.

Comedienne and social media star Ashley Rivera was beaming when GMANetwork.com got the chance to interview her for her very first commercial with liquor brand Primera Light Brandy.

The Bubble Gang actress will be featured with actor-model Matteo Guidicelli and fellow internet sensation Albert Nicolas a.k.a Asian Cutie. Also part of the TVC are PBA stars Japeth Aguilar and LA Tenorio.

Ashley described her experience doing the commercial as “unexpected.”

She elaborated, “Kinontak lang ako for Primera Light and I really though it's just for a campaign, for mga posting lang, kasi marami naman mga brands na ginagawa 'yun. So, I didn't know it was a big deal na for TVC na pala siya.”

The Kapuso star continued, “So pinasa ko kaagad sa RM [Road Manager] ko, si Melvin, and siya nakipag-negotiate. Biglang sinabi sa akin after a few days na magsho-shoot na kami ng TVC. So, parang ako 'Oh my gosh, nangyayari ba talaga 'to?' Nakakaloka!”

“Nasurprise ako, kasi ang bilis talaga ng pangyayari. I didn't have to audition for that, and agad-agad nagawa 'yung shoot, tapos ang ganda ng shot."

Ashley added, “Ang ganda ng concept, ang ganda ng jingle. Like it was a great blessing talaga na hindi ko in-expect lalo na patapos na 'yung taon.”

Making the moment even more memorable for her was the chance to work with Matteo and Albert.

“First time ko makatrabaho si Matteo Guidicelli and nakakatuwa siya katrabaho. kasi kahit Matteo Guidicelli na siya, hindi mo mapi-feel 'yung ere o 'yung yabang,” Ashley recalled.

“He's very chill, ang saya niya kasama.

“Si Asian Cutie naman kaibigan ko kasi 'yun, so nakakatuwa lang that we get to work together, finally, for a big brand and masaya siya.

“So, it didn't feel work at all, parang we were just hanging out talaga.”
