Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez is leaving Puerto Rico and coming back to the country after the Miss World beauty pageant was temporarily postponed after COVID-19 broke out among the pageant's contestants and staff.

In a post on her Instagram account, the beauty queen said that her time spent in Puerto Rico has been a “rollercoaster of emotions,” saying that she has been doing her best to keep herself together and to recover physically, mentally, and emotionally.

In it, Tracy stressed the situation of solo parents in Cordova and Argao, as international attention is currently focused on cities and provinces that have gotten the most media coverage. Her focus on solo parents aligns with her “Beauty with a Purpose” advocacy, which was recently highlighted in a video posted by the Miss World Organization. In the video, Tracy is shown working with an organization providing solo parents with IT and financial training as well as livelihood programs.
