Ibinahagi kamakailan ng isa sa mga bida ng The World Between Us na si Tom Rodriguez ang kanyang karanasan sa hagupit ng Bagyong Odette.
Sa pamamagitan kasi ng Instagram ay pinakita ni Tom kung gaano kalakas ang bagyo habang siya ay nasa isang hotel sa Cebu, isa sa mga lugar na direktang dinaanan ng bagyo.

Sa Facebook post ni Elisse Nicole Catalan, isa siya sa mga dumalo sa reception na ginawa sa hotel nang tumama ang Bagyong Odette.
Aniya, "The reception was held in one of the big hotels, and when the eye of the storm was approaching Cebu, we heard and could feel the wind gusting so hard."
"The hotel staff scrambled to hold down all the glass doors on the 2nd floor where the ballroom is. Only a small lobby was in between the glass doors and the ballroom. At this point, the glass doors were at the brink of swinging open and the glass shattering altogether."
Dagdag pa ni Elisse, pinangunahan ni Tom ang pagtatali sa mga pintong salamin upang hindi ito tuluyang mabasag.
"One male artista who stayed in the hotel that day had the initiative to lead the hotel staff in wrapping the door handles with door linen and creating physical barriers to hold down and prevent the glass doors from shattering.
"I saw with my own eyes how he went to action, physically helping and handling the linens. By this time, all hotel guests and wedding guests were directed to stay inside the large ballroom for safety.
"The makeshift barriers held up as strong winds passed, protecting everyone inside, physically unscathed. I heard other hotels and lobbies with glass doors weren't as lucky.
"We are very thankful to the hotel staff, fellow Cebuanos, and Tom Rodriguez's heroic efforts."
