'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' reveals multiple Stranges

By Ron Lim

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to move forward, this time fully embracing the concept of the multiverse as it releases the trailer for its latest superhero film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The two-minute teaser opens with a voice-over referencing events that happen in the latest Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home. After the voice-over warns about how little is known about the multiverse, Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is seen looking at an unsettling scene of buildings that look like they're dissolving into thin air. We then see snippets of the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) before the Marvel logo appears.

The trailer then segues into a conversation between Strange and the Scarlet Witch referencing events that happened in the Wandavision series before showing snippets of fights between Strange and Mordo (Chiwetel Eijofor), as well as between Strange and a giant, one-eyed monster. The trailer ends with Strange face-to-face with what looks to be an evil version of himself.

As of this writing, the trailer already has 7,105,991 views.
