Manilyn Reynes said "Sayang na Sayang" is her song for former boyfriend Janno Gibbs.
After over three decades, Kapuso actress Manilyn Reynes made a juicy revelation that her huge '80s classic hit "Sayang na Sayang" was actually written for ex-love, Janno Gibbs.
She made the juicy big reveal on the mediacon for her reunion movie "Mang Jose" with the veteran comedian. The film is also the Christmas presentation of Vivamax.
Janno himself asked his ex-flame, ""Yung 'Sayang na Sayang' ba, isinulat para sa akin?"
Manilyn readily answered, "Oo."
Janno and Manilyn ] are among the most famous love teams of the '80s. Soon after, their on-screen partnership blossomed into young love.
Their team up and their romance, however, was cut short in 1989 when the actress knew that Janno was then seeing Bing Loyzaga who would later be his wife.
Reports said that during the recording of the song, Manilyn was sobbing in pain due to his separation from Janno.
Fast forward to three decades later, the three are good friends. This is also the first time they would be working altogether.
Janno and Bing had been married for decades with two kids while Manilyn is also happily married to Aljon Jimenez.
Among the movies Janno and Manilyn did together were "Payaso" in 1986, "Jack en Poy: Hale Hale Hoy" in 1987, "Petrang Kabayo at ang Pilyang Kuting" in 1988, "Super Inday and the Golden Bibe" in 1988, "Feel na Feel" in 1990, and "Ober da Bakod 2: Da Treasure Adbentyur."
