Kapuso programs and personalities nominated at the 6th GEMS Awards

By Izel Abanilla

Various Kapuso shows and artists are vying for different recognitions at the upcoming 6th GEMS Awards.

The Guild of Educators, Mentors, and Students (GEMS) - Hiyas ng Sining is an organization that gives recognition to people who showcase excellence in different fields of the arts including journalism, theater, radio, and movies.

The award-giving body is composed of officers and members from various schools, colleges, universities, and private entities in the country.

As for this year, five nominees will be competing for every category. Because of the current pandemic situation, the usual awards night programming will not push through. A video containing the message of gratitude of the winner instead will be submitted once he/she receives his/her plaque.
