Sparkle's 'next brightest stars' ready to soar higher in 2022

This year, the spotlight shines on these eight talented and stunning Kapuso stars: Bianca Umali, Ysabel Ortega, Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, Khalil Ramos, Derrick Monasterio, Miguel Tanfelix, and Ruru Madrid.

During their January 14 mediacon, Bianca, Ysabel, Gabbi, Sanya, Khalil, Derrick, Miguel, and Ruru shared how they felt now that it is revealed that they're being called the "brightest stars of 2022."

Bianca said, "I am very thankful and siyempre masaya po na ito nga po ang tawag sa amin at kabilang nga kami sa mga napili ng Sparkle at mag-present sa Sparkle this year. We are very happy, and I am very lucky and flattered to be part of this."

Ysabel shared that she is grateful to be named one of Sparkle's brightest stars of 2022.

"Super grateful to be part of Sparkle and I am also very motivated to work harder this year. I will really do my best and push myself out of my comfort zone."

Gabbi said that she is excited to show the Kapuso viewers what she can offer this year.

"I am very very excited, and I can't wait to work on my craft together with Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) and Ms. Mariole (Alberto)."

She added, "So much is in store for us and we're really excited to get down and to work."

Sanya mentioned why she is excited for people to see Sparkle's list of brightest stars of 2022.

"Lahat po kami ay excited at talagang nagpapasalamat kami dahil kasama kami para napili dito sa Sparkle. Kaya naman ang gagawin lang namin ay ibibigay lang namin 'yung best namin sa lahat ng ipapagawa nila sa amin."

Khalil explained he's grateful for being included in the roster of Sparkle's brightest stars of 2022.

"I am just full of joy that there are people who really believe in my talent. I am just super excited to start collaborating with my fellow artists. The team behind Sparkle are so pumped and excited for what's in store for us this year."

Derrick disclosed it is a privilege to work with other talented Kapuso stars, "Ako I am very excited and I feel privileged to be part of this roster of talented people."

He added, "I am a bit scared and pressured for what's to come but 'yun nga I am excited, and I am ready."

Miguel believed that this title is also a responsibility and a reminder for him to work harder as an actor.

"Very grateful and excited. Pero dahil binansagan kaming brightest stars of 2022 may kasama siyang pressure and responsibility na gagamitin namin to improve and do our best."

Ruru agreed that there is pressure but he is also excited for their showbiz journey this year.

"Very thankful, but of course tama rin 'yung sinasabi nila, grabe rin yung pressure for all of us. But still, we as actors, performers, artists, our goal here is to entertain people. To give inspiration to them kaya naman po nawawala yung pressure at kaba na yun. Kumbaga, mas nae-excite po kami right now."
