Super Junior's Eunhyuk tests positive for COVID-19

Fans of the K-pop group Super Junior were troubled after it was reported by several Korean entertainment sites that Eunhyuk tested positive for COVID-19.

The Korea Times reported the statement of Label SJ about the current health condition of Eunhyuk.

According to the management agency, he tested positive in a rapid antigen detection test in the morning of January 20. He then subjected himself to a follow-up PCR test and got a positive result on Thursday evening.

Fortunately, Eunhyuk had already gotten his booster last month and was only experiencing mild symptoms.

The agency said, "He was fully vaccinated and received a booster shot last month. He now has only mild symptoms, and all planned schedules have been canceled."

"He had not been in close contact with other Super Junior members, but all members and other staff members have been undergoing tests and checking conditions in case."

Last year, Super Junior members Shindong was diagnosed with COVID-19 in November, while Choi Siwon tested positive also in December.

As of this writing, South Korea has detected 719, 269 COVID-19 infections and the number of deaths has reached 6,501.
