Adele heartbroken over the postponement of her Las Vegas shows due to COVID-19

An emotional Adele announced on Instagram that she had to postpone a series of shows in Las Vegas after half of her crew got infected by the dreaded coronavirus disease.

Last December, the Grammy-award winning singer confirmed her Las Vegas residency and based on a report by Reuters, she was scheduled to perform this Friday, January 21 (US time) at the Caesars Palace's Colosseum.

Adele's heartbreaking Instagram video, where she tells her fans that the concert won't be pushing through for now, has already gotten over 5.7 million views.

She said, “We've tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you. But we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew, half my team are down with COVID. They still are. And it's been impossible to finish the show.”

The British superstar promised that the shows will be rescheduled and she will give her fans a memorable performance they deserve.

“I'm going to finish my show and I'm going to get it to where it's supposed to be.”

Several global music icons reacted to Adele's tearful announcement including Pink. She told Adele, “Sweetheart I have been there. The pressure is immense and I'm gutted for all of you. It will come together and it will be amazing when it does.”

American Idol first runner-up Adam Lambert also offered his support to the award-winning singer, saying “Good for you being honest and open about it. I'm sure the show is well worth the extra wait. Sending a big hug.”

Adele dropped here album '30' in November 2021. She also had a CBS special titled Adele One Night Only where she performed her classic songs and new releases.
