Asia's Pop Balladeer and Asia's Pop Sweetheart released “Everybody Hurts,” on January 21, sending messages of healing and hope.

The song speaks about giving ourselves the freedom to grieve heartache while maintaining the courage to carry on with life.

“Sa lyrics, parang nire-remind mo ang isang kaibigan o partner mo na minsan, kahit anong gawin mo, 'di mo maiiwasang masaktan kahit na you're doing your best, trying to change things.

"'It's part of life. I'm still here as your friend, partner or family member. As you go through it, tuloy lang. Nandito pa rin ako.' That's what the song is trying to say,” ” Christian said in an online interview with the media on Wednesday.

He added, “This song is like a process.”

Meanwhile, Julie Anne aims to make people feel less alone in their pain through "Everybody Hurts."

“Lahat naman ng tao ay nasasaktan. Kayanin mo kasi kailangan,” she said.

“It's reassuring na lahat tayo, we feel hurt and down sometimes. But for sure, there are better days,” Julie Anne added.

“Even the strongest and the most capable person gets hurt and needs saving. Tao lang din naman tayo.”

“Everybody Hurts” is released by Universal Records and produced by a Swedish company that has worked with acts like BTS, Icono Pop, Red Velvet, The Veronicas, TWICE, and many others.

A music video starring Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay is in the works.
