Romano Vasquez, former 'That's Entertainment' cast member dies at 51

Former That's Entertainment star and sexy actor Romano Vasquez has passed away. According to reports, the actor died around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, at their Cavite home. He was 51.

The news of his death was confirmed by his wife Alma Panuelo Dila to the media.

His cause of death however has yet to be revealed. Furthermore, the family simply asked for prayers for his soul's eternal repose.

He left behind his wife and four children.

Born on October 31, 1970, Romanito Romano Anacan Dila in real life rose to fame as a singer and a member of '80s youth-oriented show That's Entertainment founded by the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.

He belonged to the Friday group and was teamed up with actress Shirley Fuentes.

He then traversed from television to movies. Among his films were Noel Juico, 16: Batang Criminal (1991), First Time… Like A Virgin! (1992), Dark Tide (1994), Epimaco Velasco: NBI (1994), Suicide Rangers (1996), Mariano Mison: NBI (1997), The Secret of Katrina Salazar (1997), among many others.

His life was an open book. He confessed that his life was destroyed by drugs for over five years. From having so much money, he lost everything he had because of substance abuse to the point of finding himself sleeping on the streets.

He also eventually ventured into business and bounced back again. Because of his experiences, his life story was featured on GMA News TV's Wagas.

His remains are at the Imperial Crown Funeral Service at Purok 6 Brgy. De Ocampo, Trece Martires in Cavite City.
