Venus Raj clarifies statements made about her life's biggest revelation

Miss Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj has been getting mixed responses regarding the revelations she made in her recent interview on “Toni Talks,” hence, she puts clarity into her statements to finally end misinterpretations.

In her interview, the former beauty queen revealed that at one point in her life, she dated a guy 12 years her senior when she was 16 and he was 28. What caught most netizens' attention was when she said she was “introduced to things that I shouldn't be introduced [to].”

As such, she went on to share her cluelessness about dealing with a serious yet toxic relationship then. Furthermore, she candidly shared that this relationship was also her first sexual experience.

To answer varied interpretations of her story, Venus made a clarification with which she stitched snaps of news clippings about her interview as well as some online comments.

She opened it by saying how disappointed she is that some people see a “half-filled glass as half-empty” because of differences in perspectives.

Accordingly, she says she remains true to her message and thus encourages her fellow women of the lessons of her story.

“1. Your past does not define you.

2. Your future is ahead of you, not behind you.

3. No matter how filthy you have been, when you run to God, He embraces you, forgives you, and gives you a new life, and a new identity in Him.

4. He loves you despite the cracks,” she said.

She ended it by saying that her life is a testament to “second chances, forgiveness and grace” and hopes the lessons of her life inspire more people and not the other way around.
