IU and Ryu Jun-yeol are confirmed to star in a new webtoon-based drama!

South Korean stars IU and Ryu Jun-yeol landed seats in the cast of the upcoming over-the-top (OTT) series titled Money Game.

Naver Webtoon confirmed on Friday, January 28, that they will also be joined by actors Park Jung-min, Bae Sung-woo, and Park Hae-joon.

To be helmed by Director Han Jae-rim, the drama will center around webtoon writer Bae Jin-soo's Money Game and Pi Game. In the story, eight individuals join a game that requires them to live in a studio for 100 days. Conflicts among the characters start to arise upon learning that the game can only end when someone dies.

The series will be produced by Studio N, which previously brought together hit dramas like Sweet Home, Our Beloved Summer, and Yumi's Cells. Lotte Cultureworks will also join the team as an investor and co-producer.

Money Game is slated to start filming in the first half of 2022.
