Marian Rivera mourns passing of Cheslie Kryst

More and more people are coming out to mourn the passing of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, with the most recent being Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.

In her Instagram story, Marian shared a post from the Instagram account @dantes.updates that showed her sharing the stage with Cheslie during last year's Miss Universe pageant. Cheslie joined Marian as part of the Miss Universe 2021 selection committee during the preliminary rounds.

In her Instagram story, Marian simply used crying and broken heart emojis to express her grief.

Marian has spoken very fondly not just of her time as a member of the Miss Universe selection committee but also of her co-members on the committee as well, saying in a previous interview that they are all down-to-earth and humble.

“May communication pa rin kami at nag-uusap pa rin kami. Sila mismo ina-approach ka nila. Nakakatuwa na nakasama ko sila,” she recalled.

Another celebrity that has expressed their grief at the passing of Cheslie is former Miss Universe Catriona Gray. Earlier, Catriona shared an old photo on her Instagram account of her with Cheslie and said that the world would miss Cheslie's light.

Cheslie died after flinging herself from the Orion building in New York City, the high-rise apartment where she lived.
