Heart Evangelista on being a kikay person: 'I always struggle to fit in'
Kapuso fashion maven Heart Evangelista took her fans on an exciting trip to Paris via her latest vlog.
The Queen of Creative Collaborations gave us a sneak-peek and never-before-seen footage of her experience, during Paris Fashion Week. This trip in particular was a special one for the A-list celebrity because she traveled to the City of Lights without her full glam team behind her.
In one heartwarming moment in the vlog, the stunning actress admitted on camera that she struggled fitting in before.
Heart said, “I really get touched when people actually appreciate me for me.
“I've always been very kikay, I would get a lot of bashing and stuff because people didn't understand that I just really like to be a bit different and I'm not really the typical what they want you to be.”
She continued, “I always struggle to fit in, but then that never happened. Nagmu-mukha lang ako nagpi-pilit, so I decided to be myself.”
After seeing the outpouring support from fans and netizens while she was working during Paris Fashion Week, she said that it felt good that people appreciated her job.
Feeling a bit emotional, Heart shared, “And when people appreciate you for who you are before and what you are today. It's not like that I'm such a huge thing, but doing what you love the most, which is kakikayan, fashion, and it's actually a job.
“I really get touched, so touched that I feel like crying, because 'yung struggle na pumunta dito or the struggle like it seems all fun and easy, but it's actually really hard, and then they appreciate that. I'm very touched.”
As of this writing, her “My First Solo Flight To Paris Fashion Week 2022” is one of the top-trending videos on YouTube Philippines and it occupies the 20th spot.

Heart Evangelista has really established herself as a seasoned fashionista and has blossomed into one of the top talents in the local entertainment industry, since she signed a contract with GMA-7 in 2008.
She's now part of the Dior family and her primetime series I Left My Heart in Sorsogon ended its successful run yesterday night, February 11.
