TWICE's Jeongyeon in tears during comeback concert after hiatus

By Bianca Geli

TWICE member Jeongyeon shed tears during the group's first day performance for their Los Angeles in-person concert.

In clips uploaded by TWICE fans on Twitter, Jeongyeon is seen teary-eyed as she expresses how worried she was about being back onstage after her health hiatus.

"It's been a long time since I last participated in a concert. I was actually really nervous and worried prior to the concert. But once I stood on stage I realized everyone really loved me. And once I heard the music I just knew I really, really wanted to participate," Jeongyeon said.

Her fellow TWICE members Sana, Tzuyu, Nayeon, Chaeyoung, Mina, Jihyo, and Dahyun all crowded around her for a group hug.

Jeongyeon took a break from TWICE activities after complications from a neck injury, and underwent a herniated disc surgery in 2020. She returned to the limelight in January 2021.

In August of the same year, Jeongyeon went on another break for health reasons, citing “panic and psychological anxiety” as her reasons according to her agency JYP Entertainment.
