Beatrice Luigi Gomez is set to crown her successor in the coming weeks as the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 competition starts up.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant is just around the corner and current reigning queen Beatrice Luigi Gomez is making sure her Instagram followers stay excited for it as well as remember her reign.
In her latest post on Instagram, Beatrice put up a photo of her in what looks like an elaborate photoshoot for the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines pageant. The set involves mirrors, plants, and a background of a blue sky. Beatrice captioned the photo with a simple “Diwata.” She also included the hashtag #missuniversephilippines2021.
"Diwata" looks to be a recurring theme in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines pageant as it is the second time it has been mentioned by a Miss Universe Philippines alumna. Last week, Beatrice and her predecessor, Rabiya Mateo, posted a TikTok dancing to the song, which quickly became viral. At this writing, the TikTok has 1.4 million views, more than 160,000 likes, and has been shared more than 900 times.

The two beauty queens were also previously seen together as judges for the Saniata ti Ilocos Sur 2022 (Miss Ilocos Sur) pageant.
Beatrice and Rabiya will probably be seen together again this April 30 when the Miss Universe Philippines pageant crowns its successor. The Miss Universe Philippines Organization already revealed its Top 50 candidates, which include Miss Earth Philippines 2018 Celeste Cortesi and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 Katrina Llegado.
Another person to make it to the Top 50 is Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Dee, a favorite among netizens who have been campaigning for her to compete in the pageant.
