By Aaron Brennt Eusebio

After five years, seasoned actor Ariel Rivera returns to GMA Network as he is set to star in the upcoming Afternoon Prime series, The Fake Life, alongside Beauty Gonzales.

In The Fake Life, Ariel plays Onats Villamor, a loyal husband to Cindy (Beauty Gonzales) and a loving father to Jaycie (Shanelle Agustin) and Jonjon (Carlos Dala).

Although he became an orphan at a young age, Onats managed to be a successful bee farm owner with the help of his adoptive mother, Sonya (Techie Agbayani).

Running a successful company is hard, but Onats still makes sure that he will be a good father and a constant presence in the life of Jaycie and Jonjon.

In his 40s, Onats thinks he is living his best life, but his world suddenly turns upside down when he discovers that he has a rare condition.

What will Onats do when he realizes that the life he is living is not the life he thought he had?

Joining Ariel and Beauty in their first teleserye together are versatile Kapuso actor Sid Lucero, Techie Agbayani, Will Ashley, Rina Reyes, Saviour Ramos, Bryan Benedict, Jenny Miller, and Faye Lorenzo.

Tween Hearts alumni Kristoffer Martin, Bea Binene, and Jake Vargas also have very special roles in The Fake Life as the younger version of Ariel's, Beauty's, and Sid's characters.

The Fake Life is under the helm of Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Assistant Vice President for Drama Ali Marie Nokom-Dedicatoria, Senior Program Manager Anthony Pastorpide, Executive Producer James Ryan Manabat, Senior Associate Producer Mary Grace Rubio, and Junior Associate Producer Maku Mei Chan.
