Just days before the official release of their brand-new mini album 'The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm', three members of K-pop girl group Red Velvet contracted COVID-19.

Korean entertainment sites Soompi and Koreaboo released the official statement from the group's agency SM Entertainment, wherein they confirmed that Irene, Joy, and Yeri have tested positive after their PCR test.

All three of them are staying at home and have no symptoms. In addition, Irene, Joy, and Yeri have all received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, Wendy and Seulgi have so far yielded negative results from their PCR testing.

For now, SM Entertainment is postponing Red Velvet's special live '2022 The ReVe Festival : Prologue' scheduled on March 19 and 20. Meanwhile, the release of their mini album on March 21 will push through.

In their press release, SM Entertainment reiterated, “We will continue to strictly comply with the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and do our best to focus on the recovery and health of our artists, as their health and safety is our number one priority.”

Red Velvet, who debuted in 2014, have numerous hits under their belt like “Russian Roulette,” “Psycho,” and “Queendom.”
