Former Basta Everyday Happy host Donita Rose took to Instagram to defend her relationship with singer Felson Palad.

The MTV video jock went public last week with her new boyfriend and although she received a ton of support, Donita noticed that she also received some negative comments.

Donita reacted to it by posting on her Instagram saying, “There have also been a ton of negative comments from netizens regarding articles written about us and our social media posts, some making memes and trolling on us. Yes, they have been painful for me, I'll admit, but just know that @felsonpalad and I prayed blessings for them.”

She went on to say that despite some mean posts, she's glad that Felson and his family brushed them off.

“Am so incredibly proud of how he and his family have handled this. Mind you, he has been unfazed [and] extremely amused to say the least about the negativity [and] we are excited now, more than ever to proclaim God's faithfulness [and] goodness in our lives.”

The actress-turned-corporate chef also expressed her appreciation to all those who sent some touching messages.

“Although I'm currently a little overwhelmed with work deadlines [and] can't answer all comments for now, I just want to thank everyone for their overwhelmingly touching messages.”

She then continued, “I do not live for the approval or the praises of man but I do find encouragement from the love we are receiving. Much love back at everyone. There are so many wonderful stories and bellyaching hilarious moments of us to share but for now, this is what's most on my heart.”

Donita Rose has been divorced from her ex-husband Eric Villarama since 2016.

The two got married on June 9, 2003 at Santa Barbara, California and Donita gave birth to their son Joshua Paul (JP) in Singapore in July 2004.
