SPOTTED: Sanya Lopez and Maxine Medina enjoy the CSB-Mapua basketball game

Are Sanya Lopez and Maxine Medina cheering someone on in the 97th season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)? This is the question on everybody's mind as First Lady stars Sanya Lopez and Maxine Medina have been spotted in the audience, enthusiastically cheering as the game progressed.

The two were at the game between the College of Saint Benilde Blazers and the Mapua Cardinals. As of this Sunday, both teams have four wins and two losses in the ongoing basketball tournament.

While it's still unclear whether the pair were cheering on a specific player from either the Blazers or the Cardinals, their presence at the games certainly proves host Sophia Senoron's excitement at the start of the season for fans to see the NCAA in its “full form."

Now that pandemic restrictions have loosened and the athletic commission has health and safety protocols in place, players can now have face-to-face games and have an audience to cheer them on.

“Last year, naitawid lang yung NCAA para magka-season, para makita natin yung mga players, ma-recall natin, ma reintroduce sila. Ngayon, eto na talaga,” Sophia said in an earlier interview. “This is the NCAA in its full form na may naglalaro na players, makakanood kayo at madadala ka dahil masaya siya panoorin.”
