Gina Alajar looks perfect for her role as the generous old lady on 'Start-Up Ph'

Veteran actress Gina Alajar is set to play the role of a 'lola' who will be helping the character of Alden Richards on the upcoming GMA drama series Start-Up Ph.

According to a report on 24 Oras, Gina will portray the role of Lola Ligaya "Joy" Sison (Mrs. Choi), the grandmother of the two ladies Dani and Ina, which will be played by Bea Alonzo and Yasmien Kurdi.

The actress will be seen as the old lady who will generously come to help Tristan Hernandez 'Good Boy,' the character of Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards.

Gina shared in an interview that playing the character of caring and hardworking old woman is a challenge for her after being known for doing several villain roles on many GMA shows.

She said, “That would be the challenge… kasi doing kontrabida roles for so long, siyempre my facial muscles are iba na, kasi laging nakasimangot, laging galit, laging nanggigigil… While of course the character of lola ay gentle and understanding, madali siyang magtiwala at magmahal sa tao.”
