K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN recently released the tracklist of their upcoming album Face The Sun on various social media platforms and Filo Carats (Filipino fans of SEVENTEEN) immediately rejoiced as they saw the name of famous Filipino producer, August Rigo.

What was said to be touched by a lot of international composers, SEVENTEEN's Face The Sun album featured Filipino-Canadian songwriter and producer August Rigo who played a huge role in the creation of the septet's newest song.

Alongside SEVENTEEN's singer and producer Woozi, Rigo co-wrote lyrics and composed SEVENTEEN's new song, “HOT.” Although this is his first stint for the K-pop group, Rigo has already been making a mark in the industry as he's been working alongside big names such as BTS, NCT Dream, Justin Bieber, Kehlani, and more.

Rigo who's been passionate about music ever since he was a child did a lot of hustling and bustling to get where he is now to the point that he was handing out CDs of his songs when he was starting out.

In an interview with Forbes, Rigo shared that he initially wanted to be an artist which led him to write and produce his own songs. People loved his music even huge labels but they aren't always keen on his eccentric looks. Despite the judgment, Rigo continued his passion for music and is now one of the most famous Filipino composers in both the Western and Asian scenes.

We have yet to hear how the collaboration between Rigo and SEVENTEEN will turn out this upcoming May 27. Pre-orders for SEVENTEEN's upcoming album Face The Sun has been reported to have surpassed 2 million copies as of today.
