It also shows the struggle OFWs (Oversease Filipino Workers) face while being away from their families.
Baneng's (Barbie Forteza) OFW mom (Lotlot de Leon) works for Luigi's (Derrick Monasterio) family. In the story, both Baneng and Luigi have the penchant for the arts and this drew them together.
Lotlot de Leon plays the role of Baneng's (played by Barbie Forteza) mother who works for Luigi's family.
Ana Capri plays the role of Luigi's (played by Derrick Monasterio)mother.
Lotlot de Leon works for Luigi's family and is also close friends with his mom.

When Baneng visits Italy, she reunites with childhood friend Luigi, and sparks fly between the two friends.
Barbie and Derrick admitted that they can relate to their characters. They've worked with each other for years, and at some point had an “almost” love story when Derrick courted Barbie.
Barbie said that she and Derrick chose friendship over romance, “Siguro we're mature enough to realize na mas matagal kaming magkakasama kung friends.”
The story also tackles the lives of Filipinos living and working abroad.
