Kean Cipriano, umalis na sa bandang 'Callalily' matapos ang 17 taon
Matapos ang mahigit 17 taon, umalis na ang singer-actor na si Kean Cipriano sa bandang Callalily, kung saan siya ay naging frontman.
Mula sa pangalang Callalily, tatawagin nang Lily ang banda at kasalukuyan na rin itong naghahanap ng bagong bokalista.
Sa report ng GMA News Online, nilinaw ni O/C Records Vice President at asawa ni Kean na si Chynna Ortaleza ang tunay na dahilan ng pag-alis ng kanyang mister sa banda.
Aniya, "He feels like there's a new kind of creativity being asked of [him] at the moment. Of course, he feels grateful na 17 years na siyang na-a-appreciate for the hits of Callalily but at the same time, he feels like there's much more to [his] musicality that [he] can explore.
"And he's not thinking about hits, he's not thinking about what's gonna sell at the moment, he just wants to really explore the music that's been growing din naman over the past 17 years."
Dagdag pa niya,"For Kean, he wanted so bad to experiment but because the band sells a certain way, he felt like he wasn't being listened to.
Ang pag-alis daw ni Kean ay hindi lamang sa pansariling interes kung 'di para na rin sa paglago ng kanyang bawat kabanda.
"Siyempre, he was trying his best din naman to do his own thing but the thing is, again, at the end of the day, he just felt like it's been 17 years. It's time for each individual to grow artistically.
"That's why he decided it was time to retire the band or hang the jersey because he wanted to preserve that kind of legacy for everybody," ani Chynna.
Sa kabila ng mahigit 17 taon niyang karera kasama ang dating banda, hindi naman nalulungkot si Kean sa kanyang naging desisyon.
"He just really wants everybody in his circle to grow. That's just how he is as a person. He wasn't sad about it. He was actually very excited about the possibilities," dagdag ni Chynna.
Bukas naman daw ang O/C records sa posibleng partnership sa bandang 'Lily.'
"Ako, I'm not the type of person that will tell you that cannot be. I'm a very open-minded artist, so is my husband, and everything that we represent.
"Kami, if people want to collaborate with us, people want to make music with us, we're always open to that. If they don't want to do it anymore with us, if they feel like it's not a good fit, we're also open to that and wala naming sama ng loob pagdating sa mga bagay na ganyan sa amin," saad ni Chynna.
Ang Callalily ay ang banda sa mga sikat na awiting "Magbalik," "Stars," at "Pansamantala."
