Mikael Daez on With A Smile: “All good things come to an end.”

Romantic comedy series, With A Smile made viewers fall in love with the sweet and heartwarming moments in the story. Kapuso actor Mikael Daez looks back at his awesome moments in the series.

He shared, “I’ve told Direk, Andrea and Christian that I’m happy with what we’ve done. At the end of the day, if you’re satisfied with your work regardless of what happens outside, whatever factors are beyond my control, it doesn’t matter anymore.”

“We worked hard, we had a great time and we had a memorable experience. We put our hearts and souls into it. Even the guests, Max and Sam were amazing. I couldn’t ask for more,” added Mikael.

What will he miss the most in the series?

“For me, it’s always the people. Whenever I get to do a show, I always tell the people that the most important thing is chemistry. It’s a good thing that we have chemistry at maganda ‘yung samahan namin. ‘Yun ang nakakamiss. At the same time, hindi mo mamimiss ‘pag hindi mawawala. All good things come to an end,” he answered.

Mikael has played the role of Dean for three months. What has he learned from his character?

“Off the top of my head, I saw Dean’s growth and I saw how the fans grew with him. I think at first, they didn’t understand who Dean was. They thought playboy siya. Why would he call her Missy? Later on, I was so happy because fans really got behind Dean and they understood the character that I wanted to portray,” said Mikael.

Since being paired with Andrea Torres in Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga, their love team has been well received. Since Dean and Isay did not end up together in With A Smile, would he be willing to be paired with other actresses?

He answered, “It doesn’t really matter to me. If I’m paired up with her, great, because we’ve already experienced working together and there’s always an advantage to that. If I don’t get paired with her, I’m sure I’m gonna see her in other regional shows. For me, there’s no love lost there.”
