Annicka Dolonius shows her passion on acting through Dormitoryo

Annicka Dolonius became famous in an indie film, Ang Nawawala, where she played the character of Enid. With her natural talent in acting, she’s now part of the newest suspense-thriller series of GMA, Dormitoryo, alongside Kapuso stars Lauren Young and Joyce Ching.

At the press conference of Dormitoryo last September 11, 2013, the Kapuso actress sat down with GMANetwork.com for an exclusive interview.

“I played Janet and she is one of the best friend of Airiz, who’s played by Joyce Ching. The three of us, me (Janet) and Rose, played by Ashley Nordstrom and Airiz, we’re sort of like the popular girls in school, when Hazel (Lauren Young) came to the school.” she shared.

She added, “We started bullying her, we’re just the mean girls at school.”

How does it feel portraying the role of Janet?

“It’s an interesting, fun role to play, because you’re the mean girl. It’s fun! I’m having a lot of fun!” she exclaims.

When asked why did they choose her for that role, “Probably because I’m awesome (laughs). No, I have no idea. I just really got very lucky.”

The Kapuso actress’ revealed to us that acting for her is not just work but passion, “It’s my sort of passion in life. I mean it’s such a strong word but I love what I do. I love my job. You know, I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.”

She even wants to continue her career in acting even after the show, “It’s definitely something that I want to pursue seriously. It’s something that I’m very passionate about. I enjoy it! I love it! It’s something that I would love to do all the time, forever until I die.”

If given another project, what role does she want to portray?

“I’ve never really thought about it. I enjoy doing all kind of roles. I love to be able to do a variety of  roles, something that, I think and really love to do, besides horror, which I’m doing now, which I’m really excited about, is action.”

An action star in the making, “I would love to play like a strong female role that knows how to kick ass. Yeah, I think I could die happy after that,” she shares.

Does she have any expectations from the show?

“I was expecting people to it really, because I’m enjoying it. I enjoy working with everybody on the show. I’m trying not to expect too much. I’m just letting it flow 'coz this is my first TV show.”

How is it working with her co-stars?

“This is my first time mostly working with them. It’s great. They’re so helpful and whenever I need advice or help or something, everybody is so welcoming and warm. It’s like everybody’s there to help each other.”

“And working with them on the set, it just doesn’t feel like work. It’s basically like playing a game with everybody. We’re all just playing a game and having fun doing this thing,” she shares.
