SEVENTEEN becomes first K-pop artist to perform on MTV's 'We Speak Music'

By Jashley Ann Cruz

K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN just made their comeback with the release of their newest repackaged album SECTOR 17 and is already making waves in the international music industry.

While everyone else is falling head over heels for the music video of their new song “_WORLD”, American cable channel MTV premiered SEVENTEEN's performance of the album's B-side “CHEERS” on their YouTube channel.

The impeccable performance of SEVENTEEN's leader line--S.Coups, Woozi, and Hoshi--was featured under MTV's “We Speak Music” campaign. According to Soompi, this makes SEVENTEEN the first K-pop artist to appear in the segment.

MTV's “We Speak Music” campaign shines the spotlight on artists who have performed the best acts on MTV and VMA. It takes on the theme of “Music as a universal language.” Other artists such as Pip Milett and Lola Young were also featured in the show.

Carats could not be more proud of the group as they embark on an excellent start for their comeback. They've also deemed the track to be befitting as part of the “We Speak Music” campaign since “CHEERS” is SEVENTEEN's anthem to the entire world that they are humbly vibing in their success as they break records and refine the definition of music.

Congratulations, SEVENTEEN!
