Eraserheads, one of the most iconic bands in the Philippines will be reuniting for a concert, as confirmed by former frontman Ely Buendia in Tweet.

Talks about the possibility of the band reuniting started after Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda posted on Facebook that Ely, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan posted a similar photo that bears the letter E on their respective social media accounts.

After much speculation, Ely Tweeted a poster of their upcoming reunion concert titled "Ang Huling El Bimbo" named after one of their most iconic songs. According to the poster, the concert will be happening on December 22, 2022, just a few days before Christmas at the SMDC Festival Grounds.

They also posted the announcement on the concert's Instagram page.

Fans meanwhile posted their excitement about the concert and even asked where they could buy tickets. Some netizens, however, are expressing their dismay at how they can't attend the concert because they're out of the country.

Other fans, meanwhile, are asking for the band to do a concert overseas such as in the US or in Canada, saying that they've waited a long time for the reunion concert to happen.

Others are also hoping for live streaming or recording of the concert, hoping that they can sell online streaming tickets for those who can't come personally.

As of writing, no other details such as overseas concerts or live streaming has been announced. Additionally, details such as ticket prices and selling dates have not yet been announced.

Eraserheads is one of the most iconic rock bands in the Philippines known for their hits like Ang "Huling El Bimbo," "Ligaya," "Alapaap," "Pare Ko," "Waiting for the Bus," "Toyang," among others.

Their last reunion concert was held on March 7, 2009, at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds dubbed “The Final Set.”
