Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has been through a number of controversies in her life.
Besides being the daughter of two of the most iconic political figures in Philippine history and the sister of a former President, Kris is also known for being outspoken when it comes to dealing with the many issues surrounding her life.
As a popular celebrity, TV personality, and endorser, Kris shares a lot about her life -- whether it be about her health, her wealth, or her two sons Joshua and Bimby -- in both television and social media.

Few days ago, the youngest Aquino revealed that her mom disowned her when she was 24. At that time, she was living in with her then boyfriend Phillip Salvador who got her pregnant with her first born son, Josh Aquino.

Tinutukan mo ako, kinasahan mo ako,” ang sinabi ng luhaan na TV host sa kanyang dating kasintahan sa panayam niya kay Korina Sanchez noong nagkaroon ng lover's quarrel ang dalawa noong 2003. Ibinunyag pa ni Kris nag nagkaroon siya ng sexually transmitted disease dahil kay Joey.
Noong 2009, lumagay na sa tahimik ang dating pangulong si Cory Aquino na siyang ina ng TV host-actress. May pumutok na balita na tatatakbo sa pagka-presidente si Kris sa 2010 elections ngunit pinatay ni Queen of All Media ang bulung-bulungan noong in-endorso niya ang kanyang kapatid na si Noynoy bilang susunod na pangulo ng Pilipinas.
“I give up,” ang tanging sinabi ng popular TV host patungkol sa kanyang five-year marriage kay James Yap. Isang secret wedding ang idinaos noong 2005 na nauwi sa hiwalayan noong 2010. Taong 2007 pumutok ang isyu ng pambabae ng PBA cager. Ilang beses sinubukan ng former couple na ayusin ang kanilang relasyon ngunit humantong din ito sa annulment.
“The necklace supposedly belonged to Mrs. Marcos, and I was brazen enough to wear them for the APEC DINNER. Duh?” ang sarcastic na komento ng youngest sister ni President Benigno Aquino noong October 2016. “ABS-CBN no longer wants me,” ang inamin ng Queen of All Media Digital noong November 2016 matapos ang dalawang dekada niyang pamamalagi sa Kapamilya network. Sinimulan ni Kris ang kanyang digital empire noong nakaraang taon at dito niya naabot ang mga millennial followers.
“As in everything in life James, this too shall pass,” Kris was quick to forgive the automotive journalist and host who sought for her apology after she was used as a “shield” from negative comments. Early this year, Kris was dragged into a controversy between Deakin and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.
“Stop using Bimb for publicity, most especially when you are opening a BAR!” answers the protective mom to her estranged husband in 2017. In April the following year, Kris once again called out James for being an “abusive hypocrite,” “fake,” and “user” to their son.
“Sampal sa mukha ko ang inilabas na feature nung misis ni Mar,” says Kris Aquino to her former co-host Korina Sanchez, the wife of former DILG secretary Mar Roxas. This was the time when Kris answered James Yap's birthday post for their son Bimby.
“You crossed the line,” mentions Kris Aquino to Mocha Uson when the latter compared her late father Ninoy Aquino to the kissing incident of President Rodrigo Duterte to a Filipina in South Korea. The Queen of All Media even threatened the appointive public official to face her. A day later, Senator Bong Go issued a statement to Kris, apologizing for Mocha Uson's actions.
Kris Aquino suffered a dramatic weight loss in 2018 after revealing she was a victim of “financial abuse” that might affect the future of her children, Josh and Bimby.
Kris Aquino filed a qualified theft complaint against her alleged “financial abuser” Nicko Falcis II. The two parties were at each other's throats after the latter proclaimed that the allegations are false and have no legal basis. A year later, Kris and Nicko have reached an amicable statement and have settled all financial issues privately.
Kris once again transformed to a protective mother when rumors regarding her firstborn son, Joshua Aquino, spread in early 2021. According to the rumor, Josh had allegedly impregnated a girl. Though this was initially disputed by fellow TV personality Ogie Diaz, the Queen of All Media relayed, “Like any parent, nung ipinakita sa 'kin 'yung YouTube fake news about Kuya, nagalit ako.”
“I am not blind, and I am not stupid… I am still standing,” pens Kris Aquino after she defended her sons Josh and Bimby against their bullies on Instagram. According to the TV personality, she will not tolerate this kind of attitude and if it continues, she will fight back. She threatened in the same post, “Leave my children alone, and I will remain a private citizen. Continue messing with them, then you are pushing me in the direction you are so obviously afraid I will take. The yellow brick road is starting to look very inviting now.”
