super typhoon karding

Super Typhoon Karding (international name Noru) brought intense winds and torrential rains in the island of Luzon.

Many Pinoys woke up today, September 26, with news about the devastating effects of Super Typhoon Karding (international name Noru) in the large part of Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA announced yesterday, September 25, that some areas got a Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 5 and experienced strong winds of over 185 km/h.

Karding made its first landfall in the area of Burdeos, Quezon, and its second landfall was recorded at Dingalan, Aurora.

On social media, several celebrities took part in spreading the information to public about the dangers of Karding and encouraged them to make the necessary preparations.

On his Instagram Story, Lolong star Ruru Madrid alerted his fellow Marikeños to be vigilant after the Marikina river level started to increase due to the excessive rains brought about by inclement weather.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Bianca Gonzalez-Intal also tweeted to their followers some reminders, too.

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana also asked pet owners to not leave their animal best friends behind during the storm.

According to the foundation, they intend to head to Polillo Island and Infanta, Quezon as soon as possible. They also plan to send relief goods to Dingalan and Baler in the province of Aurora.
