Ben&Ben gets 21 Awit Award nominations!

Folk-pop/pop rock band Ben&Ben has again proven to be one of the best and most listened to bands this 2022 as they were recognized and received a total of 21 nominations in the 35th Awit Awards.

Awit Awards are music awards given annually, recognizing outstanding achievements and artists in the music industry. They are given by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry, an organization representing the recording industry distributors in the Philippines.

In an Instagram post on Sept 25, the band posted the different awards they were nominated for and expressed their gratitude to all their fans.

“The most 'to na nakuha natin so far. You are the reason for all of this. We'll keep doing our best for you,” they said.

“We're deeply grateful. Thank you for your love, Liwanag,” they added, addressing their fans.

The most nominations that the band received from Awit Awards was 10 last year, four of which they've won.

Some of the nominations they received include two for the Best Rock/Alt Recording for their song “Swimming Pool” with Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, and “Lunod” with Zild and Juan Karlos.

They were also nominated for the Best Christmas Recording award for their song “Tuloy na Tuloy Pa Rin ang Pasko” and Best Ballad Recording for their single “Pasalubong” with Moira Dela Torre, which also got nominated for the Song of the Year award.

While they got a nomination for the Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist award for their song “Upuan,” they also got a few Best Collaboration nominations under their belt. This includes “Sugat” with Munimuni, “Sabel” with KZ Tandingan, “Lunod” with Zild and Juan Karlos, and “Kapangyarihan” with P-Pop boy group SB19.

They were also nominated for the Favorite Group Artist award while their album Pebble House, Vol. 1: Kuwaderno, was nominated for the Album of the year award.
