'iBilib' is National Winner for Best Infotainment Program at the AACA

Kapuso infotainment show iBilib recently won as the National Winner for the Best Infotainment Programme award at the recently concluded Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022.

iBilib, hosted by former professional basketball player Chris Tiu and comic duo Moymoy Palaboy composed of brothers James Ronald and Roadfil Macasero, is a show that features scientific experiments. It also provides scientific facts and theories based on everyday occurrences and events.

The show also features weekly guest hosts from the roster of Kapuso stars including Chariz Solomon, Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heusaff, Kyline Alcantara, among others.

The Best Infotainment Programme award is given to programs that are able to “impart information in an entertaining way.” Together with iBilib, other shows that became National winners are The Investigations of Hong Kong Secrets from Hong Kong, My Daughter Joined a Cult from India, Tell You Law from Malaysia, Tik Tok Heroes from Singapore, and 10 Fun Facts About the Golden Horse Awards from Taiwan.

From here, like the previous awards, the National Winners will compete against winners from other countries but within the same category for the title of the Grand Winner. The international judging will be composed of expert panels from around the world to assess each national winner.

The winners will be announced during the Grand Awards and Gala Finals to be held on December 8 with a total of 18 categories to be awarded. The awarding will be held in Singapore as part of their Singapore Media Festival

The Asian Academy Creative Awards was established to serve as a pinnacle of achievement for the creative industries in content creation and media production. The “Golden Goddess” statue awarded to the grand winners also serves as proof of the production excellence of the awardee and stands as a career milestone to anyone who was able to receive it.
