The candidate from Brazil won the Miss Grand International crown.
Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong ended her Miss Grand International journey in the Top 20 during the coronation night held on October 25 in Indonesia.
Taking the Miss Grand International crown was Miss Grand International Brazil Isabella Menin.
Making up the rest of the Miss Grand International court are Miss Grand International Thailand Engfa Waraha, Miss Grand International Indonesia Andina Julie, Miss Grand International Venezuela Luiseth Materán, and Miss Grand International Czech Republic Mariana Becková.
In a post on the Binibining Pilipinas Instagram account, the organization congratulated Roberta for the Top 20 finish and reaffirmed that they are proud of her.
In the weeks leading to the Miss Grand International coronation night, Roberta referenced the country's first “beauty queen” with her Pura Kalaw-inspired national costume. Pura Kalaw was named “Queen of the Orient” in 1908 at the first ever Manila Carnival.
Roberta had also posted teasers of the costume on her Instagram account.
Roberta also took part in the pageant's closed door interviews, calling it an “experience to cherish” and expressed her joy at being part of “something Grand.”
Roberta also visited museums, safaris, and walked in fashion shows, as well as a number of other activities connected with the Miss Grand International pageant.
Earlier this month, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabrielle Basiano also finished her run in the Top 20 of the Miss Intercontinental pageant, while Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez ended her journey in the Top 15.
Next month, Herlene Budol will be competing in Miss Planet International, while Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold will compete in the Miss International pageant in Japan in November.
