Yasmien Kurdi plays 'very beautiful' role in 'Rhodora X'

Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi was mum about her role in the upcoming primetime series Rhodora X when we caught up with her during the show's official photo shoot.
The Starstruck 1 alumna did, however, share a little bit of what viewers can expect from the series that will also feature her Starstruck batchmates Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras.
"Kakaiba 'yung concept nito…Educational itong show na ito, you will learn something from it, and it's real, it's happening in real life. Kakaiba siyang concept in Philippine TV, makikita mo onscreen na kakaiba siya," she says.
This is also a far cry from the traditional teleseryes shown on TV nowadays.
"Hindi siya 'yung typical Filipino drama na may mayaman tapos aapihin ang mahirap, o kaya 'yung helper sa house na mai-in love sa amo niya, 'yung ganoon. Walang ganoon na istorya dito. 'Yung story na 'to is more on science, psychology. It's a privilege na napasama ako dito sa show na ito dahil sa kagandahan ng story."
Yasmien says she will be playing Angela, the sister of Jennylyn’s character.
“It's a very beautiful role that I will be portraying, and 'yung kay Jennylyn, sobrang ganda rin ng role niya. It's very challenging for her, I'm sure. 'Yung sa akin it's a beautiful role dahil sa mga transition," she adds.
“Sobra-sobra” na raw ang preparation niya for her role dahil ilang beses na siyang naghanda pero naka-cancel ang taping.
“'Yung prosthetic ko iniba na, ilang beses na rin kaming nag-look test. Ganun 'yung preparations namin. Lagi naming tinitingnan kung maganda ba onscreen, kung maganda ba kapag ito ang ginawa. Masyadong prepared ang staff na ultimo ang plug shoot ngayon aabutin kami ng umaga, " paliwanag niya.
Like all MarkJen fans, Yasmien is looking forward to seeing her friends being paired up again after a long time. She is also excited to work with them.
She is not part of a love team in Rhodora X but she has a love interest in Mark Anthony Fernandez.
