Get to know Anton Paras

Rising young musician Anton Paras may have been just starting to make a name for himself, but the young singer definitely has music in his veins as he was introduced to music at a young age.

Anton recently signed with AltG Records, the sub-label of GMA Music and alternate ground for music fans, and has this to say, “I feel blessed and thankful that GMA gave me the opportunity to share my music and inspire other people to pursue their dreams.”

“I was introduced to music at a very young age, and because of that, I began dreaming that one day, I would become an artist and share my talent not only with the Philippines but the whole world,” he said.

The singer also revealed how he was a part of a theater organization when he was in high school which only pushed him to want to be on stage more.

The young singer also said that he idolizes Bruno Mars for being able to sing ballads, pop-funk, and other genres while having “his voice still seems fit to it.”

As for his genre, ”I am fond of singing ballad/RnB songs. I usually turn ballad songs into my own version and add some RnB into it.”

On his single “All I Need”

Anton released his debut single “All I Need” in October 2022. According to him, the song was inspired by a guy having trouble adjusting to the new norm during the pandemic, and handling his problems.

“His source of strength to get through by each day was the presence of his other half. This song is dedicated to the girl who helped the guy get through his tough times,” he said.

Aside from his debut single, Anton has also written other songs he wants to release as a single. However, he did not give details to any of them yet.

For him, being able to release his song under a record label is already a great achievement that “marks the start of [his] future.”

Anton has also shown his skills as a multi-instrumentalist but admitted that he “always find piano difficult, and that's why [he] shifted to playing the drums.”

“The piano gives me a hard time because the timing on both hands is different and if you include singing it becomes harder, it really needs a lot of training time and practice,” he added.
