Looking forward si Ebe Dancel na muling makita ang mga tagahanga sa darating na 20th-anniversary celebration ng 'Sa Wakas.'
Isang selebrasyon ang inihanda ng alt-rock icon na si Ebe Dancel para sa ika-20 taong anibersaryo ng "Sa Wakas," ang iconic debut album ng Pinoy rock band na Sugarfree.
Gaganapin ang selebrasyon sa 123 Block, Mandala Park sa January 28 kung saan ipe-perform ng multi-awarded singer-songwriter ang mga klasikong kanta ng Sugarfree. Kaabang-abang din ang espesyal na partisipasyon ni Mitch Singson, maging ng indie-rock band na Cheats, ni Johnoy Danao ng The Itchyworms, at marami pang iba.
Sa isang press interview, ikinuwento ni Ebe kung paano nabuo ang ideya ng "Sa Wakas: 20th Anniversary Celebration!" Aniya, wala sa plano niya na magkaroon ng anniversary celebration.
"A friend of mine mentioned three months ago that 'Hey did you know that your first album is getting 20 next year?' Sabi ko, 'Oo nga noh!" And then iyon na, tuloy-tuloy na," sabi ni Ebe.
Dagdag niya, "I spoke to Mitch [Singson], who was the drummer of the Sugarfree because he owns the 123 Block. So I mentioned that to him. Tapos sabi niya, 'Yeah, I remembered its getting 20. You don't?' Sabi ko, 'Actually, no... Sige let's do a small show here. Tayo-tayo lang, just to celebrate with especially fans of that album na matagal ko nang hindi nakikita kasi lahat sila may mga babies na, nagpapaaral na ng mga anak.
"I think Mitch told the Gabi Na Naman [Productions] that we had this small show that we wanna do. Tapos sabi ni Ian at saka ng Backspacer Records, because they are very good friends of mine... I can honestly say na that they are very good at what they do. So the only reason I said yes to a bigger show is that that's them who asked. 'E lumaki nang lumaki so here we are."
Sa darating na selebrasyon, looking forward si Ebe na muling makita ang mga tagahanga ng Sa Wakas album.
"Just seeing the fans of that album again. All of them message me out of the blue kasi I'm Facebook friends with most of my old fans, so that's one. The lineup is fantastic, all of them are friends of mine. So I'm looking forward to spending time with them again. And Mitch is performing also," sabi niya.
Sa ngayon, sold-out na ang ticket para sa "Sa Wakas: 20th Anniversary Celebration."
