IU and Park Bo-gum are confirmed to lead the upcoming drama 'You Have Done Well.'
South Korean stars IU and Park Bo-gum will be appearing together in an upcoming historical drama with the working title You Have Done Well.
The new drama is written by Fight for My Way writer Im Sang-choon and directed by Kim Won-seok, who also worked on Misaeng and My Mister.
On January 27, Pan Entertainment confirmed IU and Park Bo-gum are headlining You Have Done Well. They will be playing the roles of Ae-soon and Gwan-shik, who were born on Jeju Island and the story is set in the 1950s.
IU's character Ae-soon is a rebellious but optimistic girl from a simple family. She dreams of becoming a poet but is unable to attend school. Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum's character Gwan-shik is a quiet and hard-working guy who falls for Ae-soon despite his lack of experience in love.
You Have Done Well is scheduled to start filming in the first half of 2023.
IU is known as a singer and actress in South Korea, with notable roles in dramas Hotel Del Luna, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and The Producers. She recently confirmed her relationship with actor Lee Jong-suk.
Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum is an actor known for his roles in Reply 1988, Love in the Moonlight, and Encounter.
