Abot Kamay na Pangarap star Jillian Ward will be celebrating her 18th birthday on February 23 this year and like any debutant, she's currently preparing for her special day with a unique theme that she says, has only been done several times.

When she was asked by Nelson Canlas in an interview for Chika Minute what theme she had in mind, the actress answered, “Abangan na lang po nila.”

“Sobrang onti pa lang po ng gumagawa po ng ganitong theme. Kumbaga sa showbiz industry po, parang wala pa po akong nakikita talagang ganito pong klaseng set-up ng debut,” she added.

Despite her busy schedule, the former Trudis Liit actress is planning all the details of her party. She added that her aim for her debut is for her guests to have fun and enjoy themselves after the two long years of the pandemic where people cannot hold celebrations or attend any physical events.

“Basta po ang goal ko po kasi mag-enjoy po talaga lahat ng guest ko. Yung parang hindi po sila mabobore, as in enjoy na enjoy po sila,” she said.

She added that this is her way of thanking everyone who loved and supported her throughout her career.

Her gown

Like any debutant, one of the most important aspects is the gown and Jillian is going for one designed by Mak Tumang who designed the lava gown of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

“Ang tagal ko na rin po talagang ina-eye si Sir Mak dahil nga sobrang talented po niya, tapos ang bait pa po niya,” she said.

She added, “Fun fact po, pareho po kaming kapangpangan so syempre po, kapangpangan pride, nakaka-proud din po talaga.”
