Miss Universe Philippines extends application deadline anew

There's still time left for women looking to represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant as the Miss Universe Philippines organization has once again extended its application deadline for interested participants.

In a post on its social media pages, the Miss Universe Philippines organization announced that the closing for its application period will be on February 14, extending it by nine day from the already extended February 5 deadline. As of this writing, the post on Instagram has more than 800 comments and 8,000 reactions.

The applications for the Miss Universe Philippines pageant were first extended last January, when the organization announced the new February 5 deadline. When the organization first opened the applications in November, the deadline was on January 29, 2023.

Current reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi came back to the country late in January after she finished participating in the 2022 Miss Universe pageant.

In the caption to the post, Celeste described the past year as the “most challenging” and “most exciting” time of her life. She also took the time to express her gratitude to her fans, followers, and team and emphasize her “burning passion” to learn more about the country, its people, and culture, and how stepping out of her box has led to her “discovering purposes” beyond her ambitions.

Based on her Instagram account, Celeste has been spending her time post-Miss Universe at the Burgos Reef Boutique Resort in Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte. In the caption to one of her posts, Celeste described the location as “a little paradise.”
