After her an iconic role on 'Maria Clara at Ibarra,' Andrea Torres prepares for another challenging role.

Sparkle artist Andrea Torres may have said goodbye to her Maria Clara at Ibarra character, Sisa, for more than a month now, but the actress is still thankful for the praises she has received for playing the iconic character.

“Hindi ko inisip na mangyayari lahat ng 'to kaya nakakakilabot din for me,” Andrea said in an interview with Lhar Santiago for "Chika Minute" on 24 Oras.

She added, “Parang nakakatuwa lang yung thought na kapag talaga pinush mo yung sarili mo, mas fulfilling siya, you will gain more.”

The historical portal fantasy series ended its run on February 24, but Andrea said goodbye to Sisa when the character passed aways in the series on January 14.

In a tweet, the actress expressed gratitude for having the opportunity to give life to Sisa's. She also thanked fans who supported her throughout the series.

“Isa ito sa mga role na di ko kailanman mabibitawan at haaaay, hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa biyayang ito,” she said in her post.

After Sisa, Andrea is now preparing for another challenging role, which she will portray in a new series.

“Super excited ako and ngayon palang pinaghahandaan ko na rin. Very challenging role na kinakailangan din ng effort na aralin din ng husto,” she said.

Andrea did not reveal any other details about the project.

Meanwhile, despite her busy schedule, Andrea still took time to join in the 'Happy Walk' event of the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines. The event is something Andrea can relate to as her brother, Kenneth, was also diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

“Ito talaga ang lagi kong gusto abutan ng help everytime na merong mga contest sa GMA or everytime na may pagkakataon kasi nga naka tulong sila ng sobra sa family namin,” she said.

Andrea added, “When we met them, nung bata pa si Kenneth, talagang ang laking gaan na meron kaming nakakausap na ibang parents, ibang families, may nakakahalubilo si Kenneth na may down syndrome din.”
