Filo Songpyeons, Song Kang's fandom, made sure the actor will feel how much they love him.

Song Kang, during his first fan meeting in the Philippines, felt the intensity and warmth of his Pinoy fans as they surprised him with a video compilation of messages from his supporters all over the Philippines.

He can't help but tear up as he shares how busy he is with his filming schedule but found time to meet with everyone since he really wanted to give back to his fans. “I really did not think I was going to cry. I am really surprised. I am always thankful for all your support. I hope you can all be happy, and you can all be healthy. I am so honored.”

He also shared how fascinated he is that he has a lot of fans outside his home country and how he draws strength from his fans. "I gain so much strength and energy from all of you!"

Not only Song Kang had the time of his life as fans were treated to various games and interactions with their idol. Lucky members of the audience had the chance to teach the 28-year-old actor some Pinoy words.

Other Songpyeons got up close and personal with the actor through phone calls. In between the show, he would randomly flex the Tagalog words he learned in a short time like “bongga,” “maganda,” “salamat,” and “mahal ko kayo”, among others.

The coliseum went wild as well when the actor treated his fans to a short dance cover of "Hype Boy," a viral and hit song by rising K-pop girl group NewJeans. He also flexed the ballet moves that he learned while filming his Netflix hit “Navillera”.

The highlight of the event was when the cutie oppa hand-painted a t-shirt and gave it away as a souvenir to one fortunate audience member.

He ended the “fun meet” with a sweet note wishing everyone to be healthy for a very long time as he marvels at the cake that was given by the Songpyeons.

Song Kang made his debut in 2017 in the manga-inspired drama The Liar and His Lover and ever since then he has shown his versatility in acting through the inspiring tvN drama Navillera and the apocalyptic horror series Sweet Home. He is also known as one of K-Dramas most bankable leading men following the successful two-season Netflix original Love Alarm with Kim So-hyun, Nevertheless with Han So-hee, and Forecasting Love and Weather with Park Min-Young.
