Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo expressed his excitement and happiness to work again with Bea Alonzo on their upcoming series Love Before Sunrise after 20 long years.
“Kahilingan ko rin yun kaya masayang-masaya rin ako na nagka-trabaho kami. Katulad ng sinabi ko, after 20 years or more yata since nung huli kami nagkatrabaho,” Dennis said in his interview with GMA Regional TV BizTalk.
Dennis feels that this is the right time for him and Bea to be working together on a project since they are already in the stage of their careers when “nasa amin na 'yung mga armas, kumbaga, para sa giyera.
“Alam na namin kung papaano 'yung pasikot-sikot nito, marami na kaming natutunan sa aming experience sa careers namin sa movie 'tsaka sa TV so exciting na mangyayari na ito, finally,” he added.
In a separate interview, Bea revealed how she asked the network, when she was about to sign the contract with GMA, that she wanted to work with the Kapuso Drama King on a project, to which the network said yes to.
“Now that it's coming true, s'yempre marami rin kaming preparations like I've already received the script, so binabasa natin 'yan, ginagawan natin ng background 'yung character,” she added.
Love Before Sunrise tells the story of Atom and Tala and how their relationship evolved from strangers when they first met, to becoming friends, to lovers, and eventually ex-lovers as they try to pursue their respective dreams.
The project was first announced in January when GMA and leading pan-regional over-the-top (OTT) video streaming service Viu entered a five-year partnership deal with the goal of bringing world-class content to more Filipinos.
Dennis and Bea will be working with Andrea Torres, his co-star in Maria Clara at Ibarra, and Sid Lucero on the series.
Dennis teased that viewers can look forward to the unique narrative of the series which has never been done to any teleseryes before.
“Para kang nanonood ng pelikula. Hindi ito 'yung tipikal na script ng isang ordinary na telenovela na napapanood mo palagi,” the actor said.
He added, “Talaga 'yung GMA, tinataas nila 'yung kalidad ng mga programa nila, lalo na 'yung mga lumalabas ngayon. Sa pag-advance din ng format ng pagpapalabas ng mga programa sa GMA, lalo na ngayon, 16:9 na, mas maganda na. Kung ano 'yung talagang mithiin ng direktor na makita ng mga manonood, makikita na nila talaga kung ano 'yung gusto nilang makita.”
