Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera to work in separate teleseryes this year
DongYan fans, rejoice! Kapuso royalties, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are both set to appear in TV series this year, although in separate shows.
Yesterday, March 21, Dingdong already started with the story conference of his upcoming murder mystery series Royal Blood, which he considers a mini-reunion with his former co-stars.
In an interview with Aubrey Carampell on 'Chika Minute' for 24 Oras, the Kapuso Primetime King could not help but express his excitement. It will be Dingdong's first time to star in a whodunit genre.
“Ang daming pwedeng mangyari e so doon ako hanga talaga sa creative team, sa mga taong bumuo ng kwentong ito kasi kahit kami, sa mga unang script na binabasa namin, na-iintriga talaga kami,” said Dingdong.
In the series, Dingdong will star alongside Tirso Cruz III, Rhian Ramos, Megan Young, Mikael Daez, Rabiya Mateo, Lianne Valentin, Dion Ignacio, Arthur Solinap, and Benjie Paras.
Dingdong posted a group photo of the cast, saying, “I've had the pleasure of working with almost all of the cast, staff, and executives over the past 25 years! And now, I'm thrilled to collaborate with the incredible talents of Lianne and Rabiya for the first time.”
Marian, meanwhile, will be starring in a different TV series which she describes, “Sobrang ganda nung story niya, tapos very light lang at mapapanood ng mga anak ko so yun ang mahalaga sa akin.”
The Kapuso Primetime Queen, however, also admitted that she might have a hard time adjusting to going back to work, especially for their kids Zia and Sixto, since she has been a stay-at-home mom for almost three years already.
Asked how she and her husband plans to handle the change with their kids, she answered, “Sabi ko din kay Dong, 'Kapag nagkataon na na kailangan ko na mag taping, siguro kailangan natin sila i-sit-down, specially Zia, na parang explain natin bakit gusto ko mag trabaho or ano 'tong trabaho na ito, at lahat naman ito, ginagawa namin para sa kanila.'”
