Celebrity couple Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa get real about dealing with discomforts during pregnancy and how they're preparing for the birth of their first baby.

In a recent Mars Pa More guesting, first-time mom Nicole Donesa and her fiancé Mark Herras talked about the discomforts she has experienced during pregnancy and how they're gearing up for the birth of their first child together.

Discomforts during pregnancy

During the interview, Nicole said that as their baby boy--which they playfully call Corky-- grows inside her belly, it actually gets more and more uncomfortable by the day.

“Hirap na hirap ako sa init, lalo na ngayon pa-six months na ko, lalo kong kinakati especially in my belly area.

“Parang ang hirap na rin matulog dahil I can feel movements na and it's so itchy and maya-maya I have to go wiwi.”

“Oh my gosh! Feeling ko makapal yung buhok ng baby namin. Feeling ko lang.”

But, of course, Nicole is taking things in stride and acknowledges that part of being a mom is making that sacrifice for your baby for nine months.

She and Mark have also learned how to embrace the odd and funny side of her journey to motherhood, including the hassle that comes with paglilihi.

Mark revealed, “From day one, talagang ako 'yung pinaglihian niya. From day one up to now, 'pag nawala ako sa paningin ni Nicole, nagwawala. Hindi naman ako lumalabas ng bahay.”

Nicole confirmed this by saying, “Randomly 'yung mga the littlest things he does, like when he eats tapos 'yung mga kilos niya, inis na inis ako. Then minsan gusto ko siyang lambingin. Kinukurot ko siya, sinasabunutan. I like to slap him, pero 'yung playful (slap lang). (laughs)”

As for food cravings, the couple said that Nicole surprisingly had none and it was actually Mark who had intense longing for iced candy.

Gearing up for Corky's birth

Nicole and Mark also detailed how they are preparing for the birth of their son, who is due sometime in January 2021.

According to Nicole, as early as now, she's already consuming foods with malunggay or moringa leaves, which is known to aid in lactation.

“Pati 'yung oil ko malunggay na. Even 'yung lunch namin, it's more on tinola, nilaga, soup, mga ganun para ready na for the baby.”

The couple have also already started ensuring their child's future even before he is born.

Nicole said, “One good decision we made so far for Corky is we really opened an account for the baby. As in gusto naming ipon ready na pang-tuition niya. (laughs)”
