
Filipina novelist Lualhati Bautista clapped back at Sen. Koko Pimentel when he asked for prayers after testing positive for COVID-19.
Sen. Pimentel confirmed that he tested positive from the virus in a statement sent to reporters on Wednesday, March 25.
After the news broke out, Pimentel reportedly went to Makati Medical Center to accompany his wife, Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, who was due to give birth the night of March 24.

“Koko Pimentel, ipagdasal mong mag-isa ang sarili mo! Hindi ka namin ipagdadasal!” the Filipina novelist wrote in a Facebook post after the senator asked for prayers and forgiveness.
S&R also confirmed that the senator went to their Bonifacio Global City branch last March 16. The company also said that its employees who interacted with the senator went into self quarantine.
