PENTAGON KINO freaky love

PENTAGON's KINO's new track 'Freaky Love' was inspired by the popular social media expression 'delulu.'

It has only been a couple of months since he released his first all-English single "Fashion Style," but PENTAGON's KINO is back with another English track titled "Freaky Love."

KINO dropped "Freaky Love" on March 21, along with a colorful animated music video created by Korean artist JAE IN. The K-pop idol also released a lyric video on Saturday, March 23.

According to KINO, "Freaky Love" is a song that many can relate to "Falling in love instantly."

“Not all feelings of love are heavy and serious, some are light and intuitive, could be one-sided or a fling, and this is a song about that,” he explained.

KINO further revealed that there were two major inspirations behind this witty upbeat song.

First, when he encountered the social media expression, "delulu," on TikTok comments. He said, "Whether in-person or on social media, there are times our heads are filled with 'what if's' and let our fantasies take over our brain; the song captures us at that instant moment."

Second, he added an additional layer to the song with the popular Korean phrase: "Even thought of getting married."

Kino is currently touring Asia with his first solo tour, "Born Naked." The multitalented artist successfully kicked off the tour with his first live event in Korea, "BORN NAKED: LIVE IN SEOUL" on January 27.
